Matthew E. Yelverton was born in Gainesville, F.L., the son of Richard and Marta Yelverton. He grew up in Flat Rock, N.C.
In May 2007, Mr. Yelverton joined forces with Thurmond Kirchner Timbes & Yelverton, PA, in Charleston, S.C., as a shareholder in the firm. Mr. Yelverton is the lead personal injury attorney focusing on cases related to nursing home abuse or neglect,trucking accidents, auto accidents and commercial vehicle accidents Mr. Yelverton's practice is devoted solely to litigation.
He currently serves as Charleston County Parks and Recreation Commissioner.
Mr. Yelverton, his wife, Lindsay Guyton Yelverton and daughter, Liesl live in Charleston but remain members of St. John in the Wilderness Episcopal Church in in his hometown of Flat Rock, N.C.
