Christopher P. Deters was born in Sarasota, Florida the youngest of six children.
Chris graduated from Florida State University in 2002 with a B.A. in English Literature and received his Juris Doctor in 2005 from Michigan State University College of Law. After sitting for the bar, Chris served as a law clerk to the Honorable R. Markley Dennis, Jr., Ninth Judicial Circuit. He joined Pierce, Herns, Sloan & McLeod, LLC as an associate in 2006, specializing in construction litigation, toxic torts, and insurance defense. Chris joined Thurmond Kirchner Timbes & Yelverton, PA, in March 2010 as an associate in the firm's construction and civil litigation practice groups. He is admitted to practice in South Carolina State and Federal courts.
Chris lives in downtown Charleston with his Dalmatian, Boston, and enjoys music and coaching little league football.
